It's Monday November 11th
Yeah, it's been a while (again). Oooo... over a month! I'm not going to inflict all the books I've read over the past few weeks on you... just a selection.
I haven't read as much as I normally do, anyway, and I'm starting to fall behind on my Goodreads goal. I still think I can make it... just about 50 books to go.
Middle Grade Books:
I'll be doing an interview with this author on my blog in December. It's a high middle grade mystery, with lots of cool European references.
Not nearly as good as the last one, but still a solid GN read - and a good example of an anthology.
YES! Lots of fun. A mystery with a TON of great science content. Perfect for your inventor types.
WONDERFUL! You want this one. I love Bad Kitty, and this is a great one for building story structure understanding.
Mixed quality essays, but some really good ones that would serve as excellent mentor texts for students - let's get away from the Five Paragraph Essay Nightmare.
Adult Books for Teens and Young Adult:
Listened to this one, which may account for some of my disappointment. It was good, but not amazing. Sometimes when I listen to a book the little flaws in writing style jump out at me more than they do if I read with my eyes.
I love these books. This one was a great ride. Energetic urban fantasy (but definitely for older teens if you plan to hand them off).
I LOVE THIS SERIES! Horde was a great ending to the Razorland series.
If you are looking for a series that wraps up in a non-frustrating manner (I'm looking at you - Allegiant - even though I'm only going on rumors right now since I just started reading it) check THIS one out!
I'm also participating in a cool blogging event this month - Sci Fi Month! Check out some of the posts so far...
I review a new Science Fiction Picture Book - Leo Geo
What do I wish were real from Science Fiction? Come find out!
What kinds of heroines can science fiction offer us? I'm Looking for a hero(ine) like me!
