Must Read in 2014 Final Update

Well, it seems I did a TERRIBLE job reading Must Read books in the last quarter of this year.

First Quarter? I completed SEVENTEEN of my 36 chosen titles. Many of those books ended up being favorite reads for this year.

Second Quarter? I ADDED 8 more titles to give myself a total of 44 on my list, since I had done so well for the first half of the year. I read ELEVEN more books on my list.

Third Quarter? Starting to slow. I completed just NINE books (on my must read list, anyway) this quarter.

Fourth Quarter? Umm.... I'm almost afraid to admit it. I only completed ONE title on my list in the past three months. Honestly, I think all of my reading slowed down. I even had to cut my overall Goodreads goal down from 300 to 250 to keep from having anxiety attacks.

I read We3 - an odd little trade about weaponized animals. I know a lot of people who adore this one, but I found it a bit confusing. I did like it... maybe I'll read it again in a time when I'm not in a book slump.

So - what did I have left on my list?

Moving to my 2015 list, since I still intend to read:
September Girls
Period 8
Wynde

Dropping off the list. I may or may not read these in 2015:
Queen Defiant: A Novel of Eleanor of Aquitaine
The Gate to Women's Country (a reread of an old favorite)
Tigana (another old favorite)

I guess it's not bad overall, since I did end up reading 38 titles instead of my original 36. I guess I got a little over-ambitious!

Check back in a few days, and I'll post my list for the 2015 challenge.
