Okay, so some friends (cough - David and Sherry) talked me into doing a brief "beverage and a book" post on Thursdays. Check out other posts at David's site...

I also celebrate Star Wars Thursday (on Facebook and with a weekly post at The Fandom Post), which is why this blog is usually silent today. Check out last week's Star Wars Thursday post which features a fan film webseries that is designed to help fight bullying. It could be the perfect addition to any teacher who is using Wonder this year to help students learn about bullying and kindness.

With no further ado (since this IS supposed to be a mostly wordless post... yeah, right. When am I truly wordless?)....

What Came From the Stars is my newest Batty About Books choice with @thebrainlair. Check back for our thoughts on Saturday on the first half of the book. The mug? My "Obi-Wan for President" mug from 2008.

Welcome, my friends, to my first ever GUEST POST! My fabulous school librarian (aka @ReaderRoberts ) decided to hold a parent's book club this year, to give parents ideas for getting kids reading. This past week she held the inaugural session, with a  "summer reading"  focus.
